Business Professional Series
Our online Business Series is designed with "mix and match" capabilities, focusing your professional development in the areas needed most. Developed based on feedback from our community partners, this series targets skills that employers say are necessary for modern office environments. With businesses having employees from different generations, backgrounds and cultures working alongside one another, understanding diversity and communication in a varied environment are more important now than ever.
In today's workplace, being a leader is more than telling people what to do, it's about showing people how to do it. Servant Leadership is an upside-down approach to traditional hierarchy. Instead of employees serving their leader, this approach is about leaders serving their employees. This professional development module was designed as part of our Soft Skills Series to help you understand the importance of serving in a leadership role.
In this course, you will:
- Learn the 10 basic characteristics that make a good Servant Leader
- Learn the importance of knowing your strengths and weaknesses to nurture team and self growth
- Learn how Servant Leadership can help you interact better with your coworkers and make you a more effective leader
Business Series are a noncredit offering. Modules are designed to be completed in about one hour. Series is not financial aid eligible.
